Our community experience is about to get a whole lot better.
We’ve been hard at work fielding feedback and specialist insights from our community and are really excited to share what the team and member advisory chairs have been working on! (Hint, it’s really, really big)
In addition to all the features listed below, we are starting to slowly open up our community to professionals that work with Web3 technologies and Real-time content creation, new member advisory groups will launch to support strategy and implementation for this.
[Coming December] Beta launch of community platform incoming!
- Complete networking tools & directory – Members will be able to directly connect with other members, update their personal and company public profiles, showcase their achievements and manage their connection requests.
- Launch library of professional development courses – Working with members, a catalogue of career-based on-demand courses is being built to cover a variety of topics around VR/AR, Web3 and Business.
- Advisory Group / Special Interest Group Hubs – Our advisory groups will now have a place to call home, you’ll be able to see who is a part of a group, information on what the groups are talking about and stored/shared resources from group participants.
- User and subscription management – Manage your membership independently, assign paid team seats to members of your team, update billing information and download invoices directly from the platform.

[Live] UX Platform Beta testing begins
- Our design and development team are hard on work finalising the initial design and implementation phase of the community platform, if you would like to be part of the first beta group for UX testing, make sure to signup!
- Work with us to bring your expertise and content to the platform. We’re currently working with select members to develop on the special professional development content for the platform, use the link below if you would like to be one of those.
[Live] A better support experience is being rolled out
- Mid-August 2022 we started to test the implementation of a ticket-based support system for our events team to better keep track of incoming inquiries, after making some tweaks to the process including implementing a CES score to track the quality and response time of our support.
- Our membership team will now be transitioning to the new system. Introductions, requests and support will now be tracked through our shared inbox and ticketing system, making response times quicker and for a more seamless member experience.
[Coming January] New membership options becoming available
- A new FREE membership tier will be launching to enable those just dipping their feet into the industry to access our free resources and courses. Free members will still need to upgrade their membership to access all content and membership benefits currently available.
- A Founders membership, to reward those who have helped us to shape the launch of the platform, the academy and our activities to date. Eligible members will automatically be upgraded to this membership free of charge in January, providing there are no outstanding fees or subscription pauses.
- Team-based seat/user subscriptions, monthly payment options and more!
[Ongoing] AIXR innovation centre is on its way!
- We’re able to confirm that throughout the summer, demolition and construction crews have been working as fast as they can to clear the existing town centre land, to make way for the purpose-built facilities construction
- The next phase of the construction will see the site begin archaeological surveys due to its location at a historic site.
- Hardware partners from across the world have started talks with the team as we are behind round 1 of hardware scoping for the final refurbishment of the centre.

- Platform Feature Requests – On here you will find the map of planned features for the platform, we’ve tried to include as many features as possible into this beta launch, but we are aware that some useful features such as community messaging will need to be pushed into later iterations.
- Platform Content Requests – We have a whole host of content from courses, fact sheets and insights ready to go on the new platform, work with us to create content of your own!
- Platform Bugs – As we move into platform beta testing, we are bound to have a few bugs crop up. As a community member, this will be a prime area for you
