We’re on the home stretch…
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our members season’s greetings, and extend another huge thank you to all who continue to support the development of the platform. Your efforts are never taken for granted as we look to build the best platform possible and take our member experience to the next level!
Fresh on the heels of our VR Awards announcement, we’ve been working hard to push platform development and content progress forward. With VR Awards excitement reaching unprecedented levels, including ticket sell outs, we have unfortunately faced challenges in allocating resources to meet our initial estimated timeline of the 1st of December.
The good news we can share is that our platform is 95% of the way there. We have a functioning build, but after an initial wave of testing we have identified minor necessary tweaks to our user signup and profile processes. Fixing these will ensure a smoother experience for end users, with these tweaks being completed by our highly committed development team.
Beta testing…
We are very excited to get all of our members onboarded on the platform, but we are also passionate about ensuring everyone has the best experience possible. We’ve therefore decided to enact two beta testing periods.
Beta A will feature members who have used the links in our previous community updates to sign up to beta testing. We are encouraging this group to break our platform, stress test, and find the more obscure platform breaking bugs.
Beta B will comprise of all of our members. This stage will be focused on the user experience, our resources, general features and feedback that will allow us to make sure the platform MVP has all of the things that our community needs and wants.
We’ll be issuing Beta Group A invitations shortly, with the timeline for Beta Group B to be released shortly after.
We’re still focused on content…
We are still in the midst of building a library of Immersive and Metaverse based, Web3 and Real-time VR/AR courses, with valuable input and feedback from our community. This process has also been held back due to resource challenges, however we are still forging ahead with content that we know will be well received. All of our planned courses have been issued with regular updates onto our AIXR Platform roadmap – please visit this page, engage with the process, and be a part of our journey!
- We’ve got 12 NEW curated courses from a selection of our Founding Status Members in their planning stages, with 1 currently in the production stage.
- We anticipate a total of 5 courses to be on boarded onto the AIXR Platform for our LMS launch, which is anticipated to be during January 2023.
Platform construction…
- Our developers have introduced a new CMS to the platform.
- We’ve been working on our LMS design and presentation.
- We are identifying industry specific skills and tools for personalised user profiles.
- The phasing out of our current member portal has begun.
- Our developers are working through the final bugs and refinements.
The return of our Advisory Groups…
We were delighted to launch our new advisory group model, with our next meetings to be held on Friday 13th January. Thank you to all who attended the first group meetings. We hope these monthly sessions will foster discussion, networking and personal growth opportunities. We would also like to thank those who provided feedback post event, we will use your suggestions to ensure our group experiences are as efficient and rewarding as possible.
Here’s another look at our new plans for Advisory Groups:
- “Advisory Groups” will move to a new format prior to the platform launch built within the community platform and divided by ‘Sector specific groups’ and ‘Technology specific groups’.
- This new format will create a whole host of new groups that members can be invited to.
- The ability to ‘follow’ groups will open up to all members, free and professional.
- Members will be able to automatically request to join as an advisory member.
