The overview:

Working closely with government and educational institutions, we are currently in the process of launching our first educational pilot program that will see 10 students from 4 different colleges, invited to attend an ideation workshop put together by the AIXR team and delivered in partnership with a UAL: London College of Communication.

In total, the 40 students will be given the opportunity to talk with real people from the XR industry, who day to day are working on exciting immersive experiences.

In addition to this, during the workshop day, students will be given the opportunity to come up with their own XR concept on paper bouncing ideas off their grouped team and industry facilitator.

After being taught about the type of type of techniques and strategy needed to take an idea to market within the XR space, students will then be given the unique opportunity to wireframe their concept live within virtual reality.

The day will be split up into multiple stages to allow the students to learn at their own pace and in an existing, interesting way.

Measuring Impact:

During this pilot phase we are looking to optimised workshop material and listen to direct student feedback.

Impact is important to us, which is why after the workshop we are tracking each students career paths and chosen higher educational subjects to benchmark against. Once this pilot has been completed, with government backing we will be looking to take the program national across multiple regions and schools aiming for at least 400 students through the scheme in year one.
